Interested in buying an exceptional self-sufficient energy finca in the south of Spain?
"Andalusia" ... "where you walk with the light".
This is truly a unique opportunity to own an exclusive and secluded property full of peace, tranquillity and breathtaking views. Whether it is the unobstructed 180 degree sea view or the snow-capped mountains - the views from the property are simply divine. The property itself has been elegantly designed and has many small details to enjoy and many areas to explore.
The potential for this property to be used as a retreat for yoga, healing or meditation is enormous. There are currently facilities for 10 people in total, both in the main building and in two fully functional flats by the pool. The peace and quiet of the place are perfect for these activities. When was the last time you woke up in absolute silence?
This kind of real state is rarely available anywhere in the world and this is why: everything is already present in what you would expect from a paradise. The owner has put his heart and soul into this project, and wishes to pass it on to like-minded souls, who value this jewel for what it is worth. The estate covers an area of 4 hectares, surrounded by unspoilt nature. It has no direct neighbours and is connected to the outside world by a private road. It is built like an eagle's nest at an altitude of 650 metres above sea level, with 3000 metres of land between it and the sea. The view is therefore incomparable. A 180 degree view of the Mediterranean, while on the other side is the highest mountain range in Spain, the Sierra Nevada. It is perhaps the only place where both wonders of nature can be seen as a whole. Especially during the winter months, the beauty is also found in the sunrises and sunsets over the sea. Every day offers a different spectacle that makes you feel divine.
The finca operates independently: the villa produces its own water and energy (and fruit and vegetables, more on that later). There is a legally drilled well, which by using solar energy, fills the pond at a higher level. This naturally provides enough pressure to bring this fresh drinking water to the villa's taps. The water is also used to irrigate the numerous plants and trees on the estate. To ensure that power is always available, there are 12 solar panels, a windmill and 24 batteries to keep essential appliances running at all times. The only regular payment required is the visitor's tax, the minimum for living in Spain.
Many trees and plants have been planted around the finca. All this with the necessary respect for the natural environment and taking into account the rules of Feng Shui. There are a hundred olive trees which provide more than enough organic olive oil for private use. There are about 50 almond trees and many different fruit trees (peach, apple, pear, prune, kiwi, mango, grape, plum, physalis and much more). There is also a greenhouse (although this term is more of a reference, because like many greenhouses in Andalusia it refers to a metal construction that holds up a large tarpaulin, to avoid damage from the elements) which also houses trees, but mostly vegetables. The owner grew garlic, unions, spinach, tomatoes, radishes, peppers, strawberries and aubergines. Also herbs, including local wild herbs, and the occasional flower. Everything is irrigated with an automated electric system.
The house is a restored former farmhouse (+/- 380m). The original walls have been preserved, to preserve the Moorish-Spanish architecture, added with sacral geometry in mind. The main building is separated from two flats on a lower level, which can be considered completely autonomous as both have their own kitchen and bathroom.
In total there are 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 outdoor showers, 5 toilets and 3 kitchens (with also 2 outdoor cooking opportunities due to a grill and a "plancha") a large living room, walking in wardrobe, storage, an infinity pool (10/5m) and plenty of terraces. A studio/fitness room and finally a sauna with a very unique view.
The owner currently rents out flats in the summer months. According to VTAR permit 131.
Reason for sale: the owner has a passion for garden design and architecture .... and it is time for a new project.
The estate also has a century-old Era, a place where the straw was separated from the grain, which can now be conveniently used as a high-energy place as well as for landing a helicopter.
